We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Sales Leader with deep expertise in fintech, digital payments, and the Middle East remittance ecosystem to drive our expansion in the GCC region.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Leader with extensive experience in the GCC fintech and remittance industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong network across money-transfer operators (MTOs), digital wallets, financial institutions, exchange houses, and payment service providers within the Gulf. This role requires a strategic hunter who can build high-impact partnerships, exceed revenue targets, and support Wellthi’s mission of expanding seamless cross-border financial services across the GCC.
Responsibilities
Market Development
- Identify and analyze prospective partners in GCC countries, including exchange houses, fintechs, digital wallets, banks, and cross-border payout networks.
- Assess market trends, corridor flows (South Asia, Africa, MENA), regulatory frameworks, and competitive dynamics influencing remittances in the region.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned to the GCC’s financial ecosystem and regulatory environment.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of enterprise opportunities across markets such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
- Drive the full sales cycle, from outreach to negotiation to contract signing.
Client & Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives across exchange houses, MTOs, banks, fintechs, and wallet providers.
- Conduct tailored product demonstrations showing how Wellthi’s Virtual Branch and payment infrastructure strengthen digital onboarding, reduce costs, and enhance cross-border transaction flows.
Negotiation & Closing
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing structures, and partnership agreements with GCC institutions.
- Secure high-value deals across remittance, payments, digital-banking, and embedded financial services sectors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product, operations, compliance, and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and integration.
- Provide continuous market intelligence to support product localization for GCC regulatory and consumer needs.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate logs of sales activity and pipeline updates in CRM platforms.
- Deliver consistent revenue forecasting, performance reports, and partner insights.
Industry Awareness
- Stay updated on GCC regulatory developments (e.g., SAMA, CBUAE, CBB, QCB), remittance corridor shifts, and evolving digital-payment technologies.
- Represent Wellthi at industry events and partner meetings across the GCC region.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7–10 years of sales or partnerships experience in fintech, payments, or remittances within the GCC.
- Demonstrated success closing strategic partnerships with exchange houses, fintechs, banks, MTOs, or wallet providers in the Gulf.
- Strong understanding of GCC cross-border remittance flows (e.g., to India, Pakistan, Philippines, Africa), compliance requirements, and payment infrastructures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel across GCC member countries.
Preferred
- Existing network within major GCC financial institutions or exchange houses.
- Experience in API-driven fintech solutions, payout networks, FX products, or digital onboarding.
