Introduction
Wellthi, a fast-growing fintech startup based in NYC, is seeking a mid-level Software Business Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative team. We recently raised a seed fund and our team is multi-national, working from 9 countries around the world.
As a Software Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working closely with our development team to gather and document business requirements, conduct user research, and create detailed specifications for our software solutions. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation and ensuring that our software solutions meet the needs of our customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements, develop functional specifications and create project documentation for software projects.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and objectives, and identify areas where software solutions can support them.
- Writes acceptance criteria for stories and features. Measures the team’s solutions against this criterion.
- Participate in the scrum team activities and communicates sprint and product goals to their Scrum teams
- Participates in technical exchanges as necessary and understands technical concepts at a level for their domain to effectively communicate progress and manage risk
- Designing, developing, and analyzing product usage metrics in collaboration with the team.
- Working closely with the UI/UX to design the features and workflows
- Continuously improve the business analysis process and tools used within the organization.
- Works collaboratively with the delivery team to design and deliver products

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on software projects
- 2-5 years of experience in an agile development environment, preferably as a business analyst or product owner.
- Proven experience writing user stories and Epics for software projects
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.
